Since the beginning of this year, the export situation of woolen primary processing products has been relatively weak. From January to September, the export of woolen strips was 35000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9%, with an export value of 410 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 24.4%; 2258 tons of plush products were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 17.4%; The export amount was 220 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 13.1%. The export quantity of intermediate and finished products in woolen spinning remained relatively stable or slightly decreased, but the export unit price of woolen yarn declined rapidly. The average export unit price of woolen yarn from January to September was 24.7 US dollars per kilogram, a year-on-year decrease of 24.8%.
From January to September, the industry imported approximately 254000 tons of wool, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%, with an average import unit price of 6.32 US dollars per kilogram, a year-on-year decrease of 10.6%. The amount of wool imported from Australia and New Zealand was 153000 tons and 28000 tons respectively, an increase of 7% and 19.4% year-on-year.
